Women's MinistryOur Mission:
To make Christ-like women in the nations who are real, relevant, and relational.
What We’re About:
A landmark UCLA study suggests friendships between women are special. They shape who we are and who we are yet to be. They soothe our tumultuous inner world, fill the emotional gaps in our marriage, and help us remember who we really are. By the way, they may do even more. -2002 Gale Berkowitz.
Women’s ministries is about developing friendships, fellowshipping, and searching God’s truth together. Women are not required to be members of Woodbridge Nazarene Church to participate. They are not required to have ever visited our church. What is required is for women to be looking for other women to be friends with, to laugh with, to have a good time with and to just be themselves.
When We Meet:
The Ladies’ Ministry Team meets once a month, usually the first Monday of the month, at 7:00pm at Rebecca Borum’s home. Any woman is welcome to attend the meeting. The meeting is to organize and plan events that bring women together.
On the 1st Wednesday of every other month, ladies are invited to get together at a different restaurant in the Woodbridge area at 6:30pm for the Ladies’ Fellowship Dinner. In addition, on the 1st Saturday of every other month, ladies are invited to get together at a different restaurant in the Woodbridge area at 8:00am for the Ladies’ Fellowship Breakfast. All women are invited to attend either or both of these events.
There are various forms of Bible study going on for women. This information can be obtained from either Rebecca Borum or Cynthia Davis.
There are many other activities throughout the year that women are invited to participate in (i.e. Ladies Annual Retreat, Winter and Spring Teas, Mystery Dinner, Annual Christmas Dinner). The Women and Men’s Ministries also partner to hold a Valentine’s Dinner and other activities. The women also provide meals for those members of the church who need help due to sickness or hospitalization.
