Youth Quizzing

What We’re About:
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12, NIV)

The Nazarene Youth International (NYI) Teen Quiz program is open to students in grades 6-12. Each month from September through March, the quizzers compete in tournaments at different churches throughout the Virginia District.

The goals of NYI Teen Bible Quizzing are to:
  • Encourage meaningful Bible study.
  • Develop discipleship and life application skills.
  • Create opportunities for interaction and fellowship.
  • Provide avenues for exciting Christian competition.

Each week, we spend time together studying God’s word while learning how to apply it to everyday life and having fun together. Our quizzers have just finished studying Hebrews and 1 & 2 Peter for the 2011/2012 season and are gearing up to begin studying the book of Matthew for the 2012/2013 season.

When We Meet:
Quiz practice is held each Sunday evening from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at the church. The quiz season runs from August until March. There is a district quiz one Saturday a month at different locations throughout the Virginia District.
